OBC leader Alpesh Thakor , now a candidate with the BJP after crossing over from Congress, has exuded confidence that his party will win over 150 seats in the elections. BJP has fielded Thakor from Gandhinagar South in the Gujarat Assembly polls.
Thakor was earlier in Congress before 2019. He was one of the faces of the anti-BJP movement in Gujarat during the 2017 elections. In 2017, he won on a Congress ticket but lost his Radhanpur seat in 2019 bypoll.
Alpesh Thakor is likely to file nomination papers as a BJP candidate from Gandhinagar South. The ruling party announced his name in the fourth list of candidates on November 14.
“Gujarat elections are not a challenge for us. Lotus has won here in the past and lotus will win in the future. BJP will win more than 150 seats and form government here. We will win in Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad also”, Thakor said, quoted ANI.
Confident of his own win, Thakor said that he does not have any political challenges here. “I have won the hearts of the people here. The BJP workers have complete faith in me. I don’t have any challenges here.
